we were encouraged to brainstorm possible ideas for coursework. although unrefined, these ideas and reflections will inform valuable insights for our coursework next year.
due to the struggles and heartache we faced this year as a batch, i decided to explore into the idea of breathing, as i found it was something that i struggle to do when i have painful thoughts/emotions. i was also very interested in prosthetics and the post-human look, and created my own version of it as a prototype - something like an imagined evolutionary adaptation for humans to breathe easier in troubling times.
i wanted to explore the effect of light trails and motion blur, particularly from the movement of people. it was also an oulet for me to express my frustration with how the world continues to move on even if i cant. i wanted to do something with photography and videography, perhaps an installation of photos, but here are some photos that i took and manipulated in the process.
